Early One Morning.... just as the clouds were too grey to even see the sky and the dawn was long past!!

I slept in.... lol.... firdt time in months! Feels nice to have had more thn 6/7 hours sleep (about 11 I think - not happened since before summer!) Unfortunately Heather has a friend over in 15 minutes which I wasn't aware of. So I need to get up quickly  (even if Mum unsists it doesn't matter.... ugh IT DOES MATTER). But Heather is in atm so I can't.

Today the cooking starts. Dad has found the brandy so Christmas cake first.... then I think I'll start the cases for the chocolates and do some macaroons... Must make some pressies too. Funny though. The first year I did cooking Mum was all sad that she was too ill to help and kept going on about hopw it wouldn't be the same the next year. She was right, she was well - I still did the cooking :P :D. This year she is persting me about what I'm going to do when and worriying I wont get it done. I HAVE 4 DAYS! And if she's that worried why doesn't she do some? Ah well if it makes her feel happy....

Might be going to Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe again - BRILLIANT BTW!!! - with church friends... yeyness. But I hope it's not in the eve - page turning for Bidwells Carol Service! lol.

Going now.... 8 mintes - easy

News and Randomness

SCHOOL IS OUT

2 weeks of busy-ness and work and cooking and cleaning and family -- notcie lack of comment

I have just made the writing on my screen smaller.... but I dont know how I did it, and I dont know how to make it better again either - some random keycode. ugh. *finds glasses*

Have in the last week finished two scarves... one for Theo (Secret Santa but she doesn't read this) out of the Colinette. It was about 1.2 meters long and used 200m or wool :P lol. but worked really well even if I was still knitting it through Nine Lessons and Carols on Sunday - not the singing part though! Incidentally we sounded GOOD it was quite funny watching the faces of certain people of the opinion that the choir has gone to the pits sicne they left. *evil cackle* There were loads of men too - 3 tenors and 3 basses and Tom, and then 5 altos and 4 sopranos. Twas very good.

Unfortunately no pic of Theo's scarf (not that she actually there in the end) because I had to wrap it and get to church quickly. But I have also finished knitting the mohair scarf. Which is amazingly stretchy!!! I am still debating whether or not to add some silver/sequins to it.... comments would be appriciated.

Ball on Saturday Night!!!!!!! WAS ACE! So good. Except for Jim's fake tan which was a little disturbing. But everyone enjoyed it. I went with St A's but there were school people there, which was mildly amusing! (maybe down-right hilareous) But I got away with basically ignoring them. I also bumped into one of my primary school teachers who was helping Sarah with the food. :D Got home at about 1am and then slept on the sofa because my bed was too messy. I had made a white top to go with the skirt I wanted to wear because I couldn't find the right one in the shops. -- Well Dad sewed it in the end because he sews faster than me and I can clean faster than him - so both jobs got done better and faster and all was good. I did the design/cutting (marked with help) and then finsihd off and added ties - which I ADORE and was still sewing on a hour before the dance.

Here are the pretty ties!!!! :D:D

 Here is the top :P

No more church for 3 weeks. :'( I will miss. A lot.

Got more pressies. Sweets for cousines and Chloe.... a book for Ceri and Sara (The curious Incident of Tony Blair and the WMD in Iraq". Don't know what to do for various other relations.... including Em, Heath, Dad - where is all the time I had!!!! ???

mended Bird which was broken.... but I need to sand and polish away.... didn't glue very well but I cant exactly undo it.

DT resumes next year!!!

Got to go deliver now - picture will be added this evening when I can find the lead to the camera!

I tried

I tried to help
I tried to be there
Each and every day
To keep on smiling
And laugh my cares away

I tried to love
To be that friend
To be that daughter
To be the mother
Not brushing you aside

I tried to talk
To fill up the gaps
And empty spaces
With jokes and news and
New tales of how life went

I tried to live
I tried to succeed
Tried so hard each day
To prove, that
Life was worth the effort

I tried.

I'm sorry that I failed.

Strenght for Today and Bright hope for tomorrow

Im ill..... ruddy chest infections. My nose is running (cold remnants) I'm caughing constantly... my throat is a raging inferno and I can not pitch to save my life - very embarassing. We have concerts on Wednesday, Thur, Sunday, Tues Thur!!!!! Then Christmas. Im stumped.

ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MR BULL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! grrrrr..... Apparently,

Mr Vermaak: "I make all the rules for RM (woodwork) and you've got to Feb"

ME: "In your face Mr Bull!" (*silently*)

I need to get Mr Vermaak a REALLY Nice pressie somehow.

Score:::: Ruth:2 (also one for not being outright rude to him)
Mr Bull:0

So I can now relax slightly and actually stop panicking. Doesn't stop his class being my worst. Just so much stress. The moment he walks out there is a massive shouting mathc against him.everyone hates him. No kidding. and he spends all his time doing Adams work for him and never helps anyone else. He is just so patronising and arrogant. And a complete pervert. Seriously being the only girl in his class boarders on abuse!!! It's not fair. (Laura doesn't count, she's a complete chav and skives anyway) I MUST remember to wear a jumper over my long sleved high necked top next time!!!! (own clothes day) ugh its sick! Anyway I think that is enough ranting for now. hee.

There were testimonies at church on Sunday (evening) and Geoff did one. He is amazing. And well... I dunno... his life being completely entwined with music (lucky man) he used the words from great is thy faithfullness (see title) and I can't get them out fo my head. Really nice set of things. Then Jane did talk afterwards and she was just inspirational. It was so cool. The cakes were too apparently but I didnt have any - sick. They both are inspirational and also so human. It's really Awesome!

Jim is meant to be phoning me sometime this week.... I wonder if he remembers. lol. ahh well I need to go see him anyway to give him money for the ball. lol. So then might well be it. Ugh hate talking so irritating. But nice that he asked on Sunday, I hate taking first step....

Anyway... really must go do some DT.

Lol

Found the funniet poem about depression ever... also one of the most honest and realistic

Came here
to write
a poem
on depression

got fed up
and left.

 (Steve Turner)

Just sums up so much... and is very funny too. I like.

Have no idea whats bugging me atm.... which is bugging me even more - protracted dejection with no reason is irritating and there is no point asking what's up CAUSE I DONT ###### KNOW (insert chosen obsenity and work out how excessivly irritating i find this - my mind is being intensly disloyal to me)

ok that rant over with. - and i promise no permament damage will be purposely done to my brian in its punishment... :P

On happier note... We've sorted drama play at last.... :D:D "Teecher" - John Godber. Hilarious!!! Coarse, but touching and very funny and we are going to do it SO well! I get to call someone facist :D and then get punished by getting given the worst cover lessons for 3 months. lol. It's brilliant.

oh and dad has taught me vectors - they are as easy as i thought they were to start with... MY Teacher is Officially stupid

Seven Things

Anne Tagged ME!

Seven things to do before I die

Get married and have children - one thing
Work in a job where I feel challenged
Walk the Silk Road
Feel I've done something
Actually at some point in my life feel secure in my faith - longer than a week at Kestrels
Learn to play tennis - I'm hopeless atm
Learn to trust?

Seven things I cannot do

Play tennis
Persuade myself to "do nothing" at any point
Find the time to read :(
Finish my DT
Accept some of the mistakes I've made and/or do something productive with them
Give up - You don't know how annpying this is sometimes
Undertand Vectors - I did, then my teacher taught us them and she forgot how to do them - so now I can't (!!)

Seven things that attract me to my spouse:

No spouse! :P A guy... (also non existat but meh)

Someone I can laugh with
Someone who I can trust
Someone who doesn't believe me when I say I'm fine and I'm not :P - I can ask the nigh impossible if I like
Someone who will ring me (!) not v.v.
Someone who will still manage to surprise me even when I've known them for years (positively)
Someone who will let me be irritable and annoying and still care for me
Someone I can think of and smile

Seven things I say most often:

"Fair enough"
"lol"
"Cya later"
"huh?"
"Why"
"ok Then"
"yey"

Seven books (or series) I love:

Deer Skin
Maya
Pride and Prejudice/Persuasion
Girl Interupted
Run Baby Run
Jeremiah :P - lol... I do like it though - Happy book
Howels Moving Castle

Seven movies I watch over and over again (or would watch over and over if I had the time)

Amelie
Love Actually
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon/ House of flying Daggers
Pride and Prejudice - COLIN FIRTH :P = not see the new one yet
Chicago
Spirited Away/Princess Mononoke
Ella Enchanted

Seven people I want to join in, too (no pressure – if you hate this sort of thing just ignore it)

YOU!
Him
Her
Them
IT
You all
Anyone

YEY

I GOT INTO THE LEYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Music and Academic Scholarship - and enough so I can go! So next year i will be doing

Maths/FurtherMaths - 2 ALevels in space of 1
Biology
Music
Chemistry
Greek AS

I'm so happy about that...

I also got my Autumn Term Reports Today - yey! lol... they were ok, A/A* current and only Sciences and French didn't predict A* - - - French because the teacher believes it puts too much emotional pressure on people (fair enough it may do) and ... sciences because they believe that an A* is complete fluke on the exam day. hmm not so sure, all you need is good exam technique and not to panic - the papers are easy. I got a B in DT (A-E = Good-Bad) for behaviour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm (again) ASTONISHED! And the same for attitude (!!) That means "very good" huh. Since when has believing your teacher to be a mentally confused slug with the intelligence of a knat - and hopefully the life expectancy, or at least length of time working.... been good attitude?

AAAAnyway.

Knitting... a friend gave me the luuuvely wool. A whole bag of it. (piccy here). I am going to revise curly whirly scarf for sister with that and something else maybe. Then think about big project. Seriously a lot and I can do something v. fun - have to be fairly long and hanging though - too bobbly.

Started Mum's scarf - found some needles :P - which is kool and whislt the pink is very PPPIIINNNKKK... the blue and maroon dull it a little, although i might still sew in some navy. That will be fine. Oh btw. Anne, the wool is from Patons - the mohair I'm using, but I can't find this wool on there, the rest is v. good though.

Got paid for babysitting last night - Money is sooo good. And I have work from two other friends - with a young todler about 4 doors away from me and my Godparents. Which would be so cool because I would go over, babysit, sleep over, see children in the morning and then go home :D:D:D

I also may have work in the same Lab I did work experiance with after my GCSE's. Which would be ace! Nearly all Health and Safety Inhibitations go out the window on January 12th and whilst I wouldn't be working for a salary :'( (yey no beaurocracy (spelling??)) I would only be restricted from handling radioactives and probably some viruses (or all - would need to check that). But It would make doing prep a lot easier without health and safety people breathing down your neck.

So all good atm.... might be happy again soon - lost the lovely feeling for no apparent reason but attempting to regain it.

xXx
