  1. Hot chocolate to make a headache better - it worked!
  2. Getting the Camera to work again so I actually have something to do.
  3. Getting to sleep fairly early. :D
  4. Cooking dinner... even if I should have left it to simmer slightly longer!
  5. Finding out there still might be a chance for me to do my diploma this term!

  1. Feeling awake, alive and well when I woke up this morning.
  2. Getting a fair bit of work done and getting complimented highly on some work I did last Friday.
  3. Only having £10 knocked off my deposit for my flat and being told I would have it back by next Friday. :D
  4. Someone cleaning up the swimming pool so it was just about bearable - whoever it was, I love them!!
  5. Managing to perfectly miss the fire alarm going off (in my trip to buy Starbursts!).

Catch up on notes

Hello again.... Long time, no see. I have been posting these on facebook, but I have decided that they are actually blog things and I thought I would post them here instead. This is a catch up...

I've just seen Rachel post this and thought I might give it a try. It is a fantastic idea (credit to Chainz and originally to Tim Hughes). The basic idea is to think of 5 things to be thankful for each day for a month... I don't know that I'll be able to keep it up every day, but i'm going to try!

1. Seeing Show of Hands tonight
2. Pasty for dinner - probably, something nice anyway
3. Ginger cake (which I havn't had in years!)
4. Seeing Stuart :D
5. Remembering and managing to split Y's cell line.

I have been away this weekend... so I mentally wrote a not but didn't get around to writing them down.

1. Dancing :D and starting to get the hang of ballroom again after forgetting much of my instinctive technique over Easter.
2. Dinner in Pizza Hut :P yes I have class!... but the window was two seats facing the window which is a really good idea.
3. Meeting up with Matt.
4. Starbursts!!! :D I have decided to develop an addiction to them.
5. There was a lovely decorative fountain (for lack of a better word) in Kennilsworth. It was a large ball of marble that sat on top of a fountain/spring and the movement of the water made the ball rotate whilst the water bubbled around it.

1. A really lovely lunch cooked for me (Gnochi, cheese and tomato sauce) and managed (for the most part) to pretend that the kitchen was bearable after cleaning the table and tablecloth.
2. Gratuitously buying a book - Odalisque by Fiona McIntosh. Then going and reading in a coffee shop (unfortunately Starbucks as no other were open) over a cup of tea. The book was good, entertaining, somewhat predicable and black and white but I did enjoy it and will read the rest.
3. I managed to make all my train connections AND buy myself dinner on the way home. :D (On the way up I didn't manage to get any food at all).
4. Finding my room a lot cleaner than I left it when I hurriedly left as my sister's boyfriend decided to randomly appear on Friday night much to her delight.
5.Getting a photo.

Six Impossible Things....

Just a few things to celebrate...

  • Part of singing Vaughn Williams - Serenade to Music with the Orpheus Siningers (West Road, March 28th - FANTASTIC concert so COME!)

  • A University Course I can not wait to get to.

  • Seeing BOTH Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart in Waiting for Godot on the 7th June!

  • To be truly self-sufficient and have a flat of my own.

  • To want to go back home from this because somewhen and somehow home and quiet company became better than solitude.

  • To be in a functioning (or happily disfunctional seeing as it includes me and therefore must be... and I don't believe in functionality :P) relationship that I am not trying to either run away from or destroy.

Looks like it is breakfast at Milliways for me :D.... Post up six of your so-called impossible things and you can join me.

A book I want

One of many... yes... but you are all welcome to buy me this

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Principles-Fluorescence-Spectrosc...

Otherwise I might have to wait until Christmas when my reading list will be permeated with music textbooks :P

Alternatively I clould just be content with Dante's Divine Comedy, Paradise lost and "The Biology of the Cell" - Also fantastic.
